A Fun Picnic Sail

Hey, it’s a leisure day – you get there when you get there. You arrive at our boat sometime late in the morning. We’ll sail until you get hungry – it won’t take long in the fresh air on a sailboat. Then we’ll drop anchor and you can relax in our spacious cockpit while we treat you to a delightful picnic lunch – complete with your favorite beverage. You’ll relax, swim, indulge in idle chat, solve the problems of the world or just lay back and enjoy the solitude. When you’re ready, we’ll hoist the anchor and crank up the sails for more sailing and the Captain will play his guitar and sing nautical tunes. You can join in the music or give the First Mate a hand trimming the sails. Fun guaranteed!

A Taste of Cruising

Ever dream of just chucking the nine to five, buying a boat and sailing off into the sunset? While the cruising life can be delightful for some, it isn’t for everyone. You can find out if it’s for you on this ‘try before you buy’ cruise. Larry and Suzi, your Captain and First Mate have been cruising for many years and they know what the life style is about. You’ll experience navigating, boat maintenance, meal preparation, anchoring, sleeping on board, requesting bridge openings, and weather permitting, maybe even a night sail. If you haven’t seen the sky at night from a small boat far from land, you’re in for a treat. The number of stars up there is astounding. Larry and Suzi will tell you tales of the good times and the bad. You’ll see for yourself the poetry (and the drudgery) of living life on board a sailboat. You’ll find out things about yourself that you may not have even guessed. Meals included.

Boat and Breakfast

The absolutely perfect, romantic Bed and Breakfast. You arrive in the evening after a nice dinner at a local restaurant (we can recommend a few - see our Links page) You board Kanau and we sail out the West River to view the sunset over a nice glass of wine. We drop anchor and enjoy the dusk and the stars - and maybe another glass of wine. Then we retire and sleep to the gentle rocking of a big comfortable sailboat - listen to the gentle waves lapping on the hull. Next morning, coffee and danish in the cockpit while Captain Larry prepares his world famous omelette. Then we pull up anchor and head back to the dock - maybe nine or ten o'clock - what's the hurry? Then the mandatory Bloody Mary and it's off to enjoy the rest of the day.
